Measure 9.78 liters of water and pour it into the 20-liter mixing container.
Use room-temperature or slightly warm water (25–30°C).
Important: Ensure the container is clean and dry before adding water.
Stir the water gently to create a smooth base and prevent splashing.
Step 2: Add Green Dye
Weigh 20 grams of green dye using a precise scale.
Gradually sprinkle the dye into the water while continuously stirring.
Observation: Check that the dye is fully dissolved and the water has a uniform green color. There should be no clumps or streaks in the solution.
Stir for 5 minutes or until the color is evenly distributed.
Step 3: Add SDBS
Measure 5.2 liters of SDBS and pour it slowly into the green-dyed water.
Stir continuously using a circular motion to ensure even distribution.
Observation: The mixture will start to thicken slightly and foam may appear. The solution should have a smooth and viscous texture.
Stir for 10–15 minutes until the mixture is homogenous and free of lumps.
Step 4: Add Pine Oil
Measure 3 liters of pine oil and add it slowly to the mixture in small portions.
Stir thoroughly after each addition to ensure proper emulsification of the oil into the solution.
Observation: The mixture may turn cloudy initially, but continued stirring will make it clearer and thicker. Ensure there’s no separation of oil at the surface.
Stir for about 15 minutes or until fully emulsified.
Step 5: Add NP-9
Measure 2 liters of NP-9 and add it slowly into the mixture as the final step.
Stir continuously for 10–15 minutes to integrate the NP-9 thoroughly.
Observation: The solution should achieve a gel-like consistency. Look for a smooth, glossy texture without streaks or separation. If the mixture is too runny, keep stirring longer.
Allow the mixture to sit for 15–30 minutes to let any foam settle naturally.
Final Checks:
Consistency: The gel should be smooth, thick, and uniform in texture.
Color: The green color should be evenly distributed with no streaks.
Fragrance: A balanced pine scent should dominate, with no harsh chemical odors.
Storage Instructions:
Transfer the finished pine gel into a clean 20-liter bucket with an airtight lid.
Label the bucket clearly with the product name and date of preparation.
Store the bucket in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Scaling Tips:
Ensure you use precise measuring tools to maintain consistency in a larger batch.
Stirring may take slightly longer in larger quantities, so ensure all ingredients are fully dissolved and evenly mixed before proceeding to the next step.
Following these steps will produce a high-quality 20 kg batch of pine gel with consistent cleaning properties and a pleasant pine aroma.
